The 2017 Perry County Fair takes place Tuesday through Saturday, September 19 through 23, at the fairgrounds in Perryville. The carnival will be open and Bingo will be played all five nights. Tuesday's activities include the talent competition and some of the pageants. Wednesday is Community Service Night. Thursday features more pageants and the adult livestock showmanship. Friday is the youth showmanship. Saturday features the Robert Parish Jr. Livestock Premium Sale; the FFA and 4-H Pullet Sale and Auction; and the Mrs., Sr. and Jr. Queen pageants.

Lake Dardanelle State Park at Russellville will hold Family Adventure Day on Saturday, September 23rd from 9:30 AM – 6 PM. Programs that day include a presentation on bird beaks, a wildlife hike, a presentation on bugs and more. It's all capped with a lake cruise. There's no cost to attend.
The Arkansas River Valley Circle of Friends, Arkansas Children's Foundation and Russellville Police Department will conduct a free car seat safety check on Saturday, September 23 from ten to one. No appointment necessary, and trained professionals will be on hand to check your car seat or booster seat for your child. Please bring your child with you.
Performers from the Arkansas Tech University Department of Music will provide an evening of entertainment at one of the Arkansas River Valley’s most beautiful points of interest on Saturday, Sept. 23. The 13th annual Brass in the Clouds concert, co-sponsored by Mount Nebo State Park and the Arkansas Tech Department of Music, will begin at 6:30 p.m. at Mount Nebo’s Sunset Point. The Perry County Fair Rodeo will be held Friday, September 29 at the Perry County Fairgrounds in Perryville. It's presented by H&H Rodeo, and all proceeds will benefit the Perry County Fair.
National Public Lands Day hosted by Lake Dardanelle State Park will be held in conjunction with the Great Arkansas Cleanup on September 30, 2017 from 8 to 11 a.m. Following the cleanup, volunteers are invited to enjoy a free meal at Lake Dardanelle State Park. Each year, thousands of volunteers celebrate National Public Lands Day by volunteering their time for cleanup and beautification projects. During the event hosted by Lake Dardanelle State Park, teams are sent to public lands managed by a variety of agencies in the area to pick up litter and beautify them. Area businesses, clubs, churches, scouts, and others are invited to put teams together for the event. Supplies will be provided at no cost for the cleanup.
