ANGEL TREE (11/16/18)
The Conway County Angel Tree, sponsored by the Morrilton Adelaide Club and DHS, will remain up in the lobby of the post office in Morrilton through Friday (11/16/18). It includes the names of over 350 children in need of some help for a special Christmas. Adelaide Club members will be there during normal business hours to help you select an angel to adopt. 

BAKE SALE (11/16/18)
The CHI St. Vincent Morrilton Auxiliary will hold a Thanksgiving bake sale on Friday (11/16/18) starting at 7:00 a.m. in the employee dining room at the hospital. Proceeds will be used for the ongoing hospital exterior improvement project.

WONDERVIEW CHRISTMAS SHOPPE (11/17/18)
The annual Wonderview PTO Christmas Shoppe will be held Saturday (11/17/18) from 9:00 a.m.-2:00 p.m. in the Wonderview cafeteria. Events include several vendors, silent auction items, raffle prizes, pictures with Santa, food and much more. For more information, call the elementary office at 354-4736.

HOW-TO FESTIVAL (11/17/18)
The Max Milam Library in Perryville is hosting a How-To Festival on Saturday (11/17/18) at noon. The four-hour event is designed for attendees to learn thirty skills through a series of thirty sessions in one day. The event is free and open to the public. HOLIDAY OPEN HOUSE (11/18/18)
The City of Morrilton will hold its downtown Holiday Open House on Sunday (11/18/18) from 1:00-5:00 p.m. Downtown merchants will be open with special promotions during this time to kick off the holiday shopping season.

The Arkansas Tech University Department of Public Safety is conducting a Toys for Tots drive during the 2018 holiday season. The drive will take place from Nov. 1-Dec. 15. All toys collected will benefit children in Pope and Yell counties. Those wishing to donate new and unwrapped toys may drop them off weekdays from 8 a.m.-5 p.m. at the Arkansas Tech Department of Public Safety headquarters, which is located at 1508 N. 9 AM: Eagle Tour 
10 AM: Fun with Fur – You can learn a lot about an animal just by looking at its fur. Join a park interpreter in the visitor center Orientation Room to examine animal furs and learn about some of the mammals that make Lake Dardanelle State Park their home. 
12:30 PM: Squirrels Gone Nuts – How squirrels prepare for winter is but one fascinating trait for these small creatures. There is more to how squirrels gather and store food for the long, cold, winter months than you might realize. Join a park interpreter in the visitor center Orientation Room to discover more about these critters. 
2 PM: Hidden Creatures – We humans wear camouflage on a daily basis to blend in while hunting, and sometimes just for style. But, animals have to use camouflage to survive in the wild. Meet a park interpreter in the Orientation Room to see some pictures of these animals doing what they do best, blending in with nature, and see if you can spot all the hidden creatures in the pictures! 
3 PM: Turtle Lost and Found – Did you know that just by looking at the body of a turtle, it can tell you where it lives? Join a park interpreter in the kid’s corner of the visitor center to learn about some of the turtles found here in Lake Dardanelle. 
5 PM: Fireside Stories – Telling stories is a centuries old tradition created for pleasure, as well as to pass down the history and oral traditions of an area or group of people. Meet a park interpreter in the grassy area to hear some stories, share some stories, and enjoy the fire light. Bring something to sit on.

WHAT: Dover/Atkins Alumni Rivals Cup Game

After kicking off the 2017 Alumni Rivals Cup game last November, alumni football players from Dover and Atkins will be putting on full pads and taking the field once again as they announce round two of the Dover/Atkins Alumni Rivals Cup football game. Round two of the Alumni Rivals Cup game will be held on Saturday, November 24 at Sorrels Stadium in Atkins with kickoff set to be held at 6 p.m. During last year’s inaugural Alumni Rivals Cup game, the Red Devils alumni team defeated the Pirates and were awarded the Alumni Rivals Cup trophy. Final score of the game was Atkins 45, Dover 14. Both teams not only battled on the field, but raised money for both of their school districts. Tickets are $10 each and are available for purchase at Arkansas Sportsman or JD's Mercantile in Atkins. You may also purchase tickets online at paypal.me/atkinsreddevils. Dover Pirate fans may purchase their Alumni Rivals Cup game tickets by contacting Charles Pitts, Derek Balloun, Joe Villalobos or Daniel Rawlings through Facebook. Dover Pirate alumni will also be selling the tickets at the Dover High School football home games and at Harp’s located on Market Street.
