ARVAC's Early Head Start and Head Start pre-school programs in Morrilton and Perry are now accepting applications for the 2019-20 school year. To schedule an appointment and complete your application, call 289-6139 in Morrilton or 662-4652 in Perry.

Applications for the Conway County Angel Tree can be picked up at the DHS office in Morrilton or the Conway County Care Center or you can request one by mail from the Adelaide Club, P.O. Box 174, Morrilton, AR 72110. Applications will be available through October 18th.​​

The Lanty Heritage Association will have its annual chili supper on Friday (10/11/19) from 4:00-7:00 p.m. in the Community Center at Lanty on Hwy 287. Meals are $6 for adults and $3 for kids age 9 and under. There will also be a raffle, silent auction and door prizes. For more information, call Jane McClaren at 208-7893.

The 2019 Plumerville Homecoming Reunion will take place Friday (10/11/19) and Saturday (10/12/19). A bean supper will be served at 5:00 p.m. Friday in Plummer Hall. A Gospel singing with Lost Corner Band will follow at 6:00 p.m. in the City Park. The Plumerville Youth Association will serve a pancake breakfast beginning at 7:00 a.m. Saturday at the Plumerville Fire Station, and hamburger meals will be sold at noon. The reunion dinner honoring the Plumerille High School Class of 1969 will start at 6:00 p.m. Saturday in the old school gymnasim. A haunted fun house will be open at the Perry County Fairgrounds in Perryville on Friday (10/11/19) and Saturday (10/12/19) from 7:00-11:00 p.m. Admission is $6 per person, or $5 per person is you bring two cans of food for the food pantry.

Riverview Baptist Christian School at Oppelo will hold its annual Fall Festival on Saturday (10/12/19). A chicken strip dinner will be served in the cafeteria from 4:30-7:00 p.m. There will also be free games and activities for all ages, include a hay ride, dunking booth, bounce house and obstacle course in the gym from 6:00-7:30 p.m., along with a silent auction until 7:45.
