The Adult Education Center at the University of Arkansas Community College at Morrilton offers free classes to prepare adults in Conway and Perry Counties to earn a GED. ESL classes are also offered free of charge for anyone at least 18 years of age. For more information, call 215-4904.

Neighbor's Table is a free meal is provided from 12-1 PM every Saturday at All Saints' Episcopal Church in Russellville. Doors open at 11 AM with free coffee. All are welcome to attend this no pressure, no questions asked free lunch. Neighbor's Table is celebrating its 6th year of service. All Saints' is located at 501 South Phoenix Avenue.

This is the place to connect our community with the local food system. Members have a weekly opportunity to interact with local farmers as a participant in our local farmers market. Members get an inside look at what’s available locally and can get to know their local farmers through buying at the market. The Arkansas River creates many recreational opportunities for the River Valley to enjoy. Join Lake Dardanelle State Park staff for O.W.L.S., Outdoor Women Learning Skills, a program series designed to give ladies the opportunity to explore the available recreation at Lake Dardanelle and the surrounding area, by learning skills and knowledge needed to enjoy nature. The series will be one evening a month for 6 months and you can come to one, or come to them all! Each month we will cover a new topic. You must pre-register for each class by calling (479) 967-5516 and the $20 registration fee for each night includes dinner. Each workshop will be from 6-9 PM, and space is limited and so register early!

This summer, Aramark, the Russellville School District, and River Valley Food 4 Kids will be hosting a Summer Feeding Program for ALL local kids, running June 4th - August 10th. Students will be served a hot meal each day from 11 AM - 12 PM at Crawford Elementary. A district school bus will also pick up students from local elementary schools and take them to and from Crawford beginning on June 25th:

The Johnson County Community Farmers’ Market meets down on the Courthouse Square in Clarksville each Saturday from 8 AM – 12 PM and on Wednesdays from 5 – 7 PM. They have over 45 vendors who have a variety of local crafts, wearables, soaps, veggies, fruit, honey, USDA meat, bread, pastries, jewelry, and more. All items are produced by local community members and are as fresh as possible, because everything is grown or created locally! They will be open through the end of October. WHAT: Inaugural River Valley Poker Run

It’s time for the 1st Annual River Valley Poker Run, hosted by and for the River Valley Child Advocacy Center (RVCAC). Check in begins at 9 AM at RVCAC, with last bike out at 11 AM and last bike in at 5 PM. Cost is $20 per bike entry and that does include dinner after the ride. The community is invited to join for supper beginning at 4 PM. There will be a 50/50 drawing and door prizes available. It’s $5 for an extra hand and $5 to buy a card. 1stplace rider will take home $250! Stops on the River Valley Poker Run include the River Valley Child Advocacy Center, Mount Nebo or the Subway in Dardanelle, Mount Magazine, and Petit Jean Mountain. BOOK SALE (6/28/18-6/30/18)
The Conway County Library's Friends of the Library will host the club's annual book sale Thursday (6/28/18) through Saturday (6/30/18) at the old Magie Ford building in Morrilton. Thursday will be a preview sale from 6:00-8:00 p.m. for Friends of the Library members. The sale will be open to the public Friday from 9:00 a.m.-6:00 p.m. and Saturday from 9:00 a.m.-1:00 p.m.

A grand opening of the Perry County Farmers Market will be held Saturday (6/30/18) from 9:00 a.m.-4:00 p.m. at Perryville City Park. Admission is free and there will be live Gospel music and free hot dogs, but drinks and other refreshments will be sold as a fundraiser for Perry County churches.

The City of Morrilton will host its annual Fabulous 4th celebration on Wednesday (7/4/18) starting at 5:00 p.m. at Cherokee Park on the bank of the Arkansas River. There will be free hot dogs, watermelons, drinks, children's games, and live music before the fireworks show at 9:15 p.m.

Sacred Heart Catholic School is conducting a Drivers Education course from July 16-27. The cost is $220. Call the school at 354-8113 for a registration form.

The summer feeding program at Morrilton High School continues through July 26th. Breakfast will be served at 7:30 a.m. and lunch will be served at 11:00 a.m. in the cafeteria every Monday through Thursday. The free meals are available to all children in the community age 18 and younger.
