Arkansas Attorney General Leslie Rutledge will have a mobile office at the T.C. Vaughan Senior Adult Center in Morrilton on Thursday (1/17/19) from 10:30 a.m.-12:00 p.m. where constituents can get assistance with consumer-related issues and scams. There will also be a Prescription Drug Take Back during that time, and an identity theft prevention presentation for seniors will start at 11:30 a.m.

A benefit account has been set up at Petit Jean State Bank to help with medical expenses for Ben Meuir, who has been diagnosed with MDS. Any donations will be greatly appreciated.

The local Girl Scouts and Sisters Service Unit of Pope and Yell County will host the 2018 Mr. and Miss Spirit of America pageant on Saturday, February 2nd, at the Hector School cafeteria. The pageant has categories for girls and women of all ages and boys from 0-3 and 4-and-up. The entry fee is $25 and the deadline to enter is Friday (1/25/19). Sacred Heart Catholic School in Morrilton will host its annual Trivia Night fundraiser on Saturday (2/2/19) in the school gymnasium. Dinner starts at 6:00 p.m. and teams of 8 will compete in six rounds of trivia starting at 6:30. Tickets are $30 per person in advance or $35 at the door.
